How exactly is the “Transit” column in FirstMile’s visual reporting calculated?

June 3, 2025

Transit calculation begins at the time of the first scan. For example, if a label is printed Monday morning and FirstMile picks up the package Monday afternoon, the first scan may occur that evening, lets say around 9:00 p.m. on Monday. This is when the transit clock starts.

The first 23 hours after the initial scan are considered Day 0.
From 9:00 p.m. Tuesday to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday is Day 1.
From 9:00 p.m. Wednesday to 9:00 p.m. Thursday is Day 2, and so on.
