First Mile Communications expands services to Tampa

Company increases reach of Southeast's fastest growing metro Ethernet network

ATLANTA, June 24, 2008 - First Mile Communications, a wireless provider of high-speed internet access, today announced the expansion of its fast, secure and reliable service into Tampa, Florida.  Beginning today, more than 3,200 businesses in the Tampa Bay metro area will be able to take advantage of First Mile's service offerings. 

Transmitting from the Franklin Exchange, a state-of-the-art telecommunications and internet hub in Tampa's central business district, First Mile will serve customers in Class-A commercial office buildings such as 100 North Tampa, Park Tower and Urban Center.  Tenants in these and other buildings will have access to First Mile's fast, economical and scalable internet service.  The company's wireless reach also offers route diversity that landline connections do not have, a crucial feature in disaster recovery applications and business continuity planning.
